Is this a good surprise gift for my dad?

I want to surprise my dad with a 2021 Skeeter SX230 as a gift. He's always wanted a good bay boat and I know he'll love spending time on the water with it. Before I pull the trigger, I want to hear from owners. How does it handle in choppy conditions and what are some must have upgrades?

Your dad's definitely going to enjoy that SX230. It manages the bay chop nicely, but be sure to take it easy if the water gets rough. For must-haves, I'd suggest getting a trolling motor, a Power-Pole, and solid electronics right away

I have a '22 Skeeter, and I'm really happy with it. My bay boat has a depth of 22" at the console, which is more than a lot of others that are around 17 to 18

I think it's an awesome gift, the Skeeter SX230 handles choppy conditions pretty well with its deep V-hull, and as for upgrades, consider adding a trolling motor and upgraded electronics for better fishing
