I'm getting my first Skeeter and bass boat! Quick question: Do the fishing seat posts drop down or do you have to remove them when you're not using them? Appreciate any help

Nice, congratulations on the new Skeeter! Curious to know which model you got? The fishing seat posts don't typically drop down into the deck. You'll remove them and stow them when you're running or not actively using them for fishing. Most people just store them in a rod locker or a dedicated storage compartment.

you've picked an awesome boat.

For the fishing seat posts, most standard fishing seat posts (especially the ones that come with or are added to bass boats) are designed to be removed when you're not using them or when you're trailering/running at speed. They just lift straight out of the pedestal base on the deck.
This keeps them from getting in the way, prevents theft, and reduces wind resistance
