Anyone here got a ZX2200? I'm particularly interested in the Yamaha 225 HP EFI and it's got good performance according to my old mates, but isn't it too old... For those who's got it or previously did, is it expensive to maintain?

Friend of mine had one and he was okay with it, at least in terms of power. The biggest problem is the corrosion which can cost you some pretty penny to fix. Make sure to douple and triple check it before buying it

I've heard good things about the Yamaha 225 HP EFI, but maintenance can add up over time, I think regular servicing is necessary, but parts may be pricier since it's an older model.

the Yamaha 225 HP EFI really delivers when it comes to performanc. That said, some of the older models might face problems, particularly with corrossion in the exhaust system, and fixing that can get a bit expensive. However,if the engine has been well taken care of,it should still run without any hitches. Just make sure to check its maintenance history and watch out for any signs of corrosion
